December 2021 pages 7-10 New Endovascular Repair of Aortic Coarctation Codes for 2022 For the Current Procedural Terminology (CPT®) 2022 code set, three new codes (33894, 33895, 33897) have been established as part of a new subsection entitled Endovascular Repair of Congenital Heart and Vascular Defects in the Surgery section. Within this subsection, new introductory guidelines have been added to clarify the use of transcatheter interventions for revascularization or repair for coarctation of the aorta. Also, several parenthetical notes have been added following codes 33895 and 33897 to instruct users of the appropriate reporting of these new codes...
