In the following example, may the related paraspinal muscles be counted as one of the five muscle requirements to report codes 95860-95864: needle EMG testing on four upper extremity muscles (abductor digiti minimi, abductor pollicis brevis, pronator teres, and triceps) plus the C6 paraspinal muscles? Is this procedure considered a complete extremity needle EMG study (code 95860) because only four extremity muscles were tested?
