A tonsillectomy was performed on a 40-year-old patient. A small amount of adenoid hypertrophy was noted within the nasopharynx. The surgeon ablated the small amount of adenoid hypertrophy from the naso-pharynx in addition to performing the tonsillectomy. The surgeon stated he did not perform an adenoidectomy when he ablated the small amount of tissue. What is the appropriate code to report for this procedure?
