Our transplant surgeons sometimes place a T-tube or an internal biliary stent at the time of a liver transplant. The T-tube is placed across the biliary anastomosis and is then externalized through the anterior ab-dominal wall. The internal stent is placed across the biliary anastomosis and remains entirely internal. What is the appropriate code to report for the placement of this tube?
