Proposed G-code means new revenue, for non-face-to-face primary care service
Primary care practices stand to receive $104 per patient in new Medicare revenue under a new covered service CMS announced in the proposed 2013 physician fee schedule. The agency described a new G-code to report to Medicare to cover non-face-to-face coordination of care in the 30 days after a patient is discharged from facilities such as hospitals, skilled nursing facilities or community mental health centers.
